How much does AdWords cost?

How much does AdWords cost?

It’s a good question & one that many people want to know before they start.

Let me first ask you a question. If you gave me a dollar & I gave you two back, how many dollars would you want to give me? (apart from thinking “what’s the catch” you’d probably say LOTS)

Well, when done properly, AdWords is never an expense, but instead it’s an investment which returns more than you put in.

In terms of actual cost, there are two things you need to pay for:

Clicks - you’ll pay Google for the cost of each ‘click’. Of course, because the system is a ‘pay per click’ system, you only pay for that click when someone searching the web is sufficiently interested in your Ad to want to click it! The rest of the time your Ad shows, you pay absolutely nothing.

Management or Training - you have a few choices. You can hire  WebSavvy to manage your AdWords account (or a Qualified Google Company that does what we do) or you can teach yourself how to use the AdWords system. One will cost you money, the other time. Whichever you choose we’d like to help. If you’re completely new to AdWords, start with our free video course, or use the form below to ask us a question.

Why is AdWords different?

In a word, it’s Trackable. Every single visitor to your site (& exactly how much you paid for each one) can be tracked all the way through your site. You can tell exactly which visitors (which keywords) lead to a conversion, such as a form completed, a newsletter sign up or the sale of a product.

And because everything is trackable, you can eliminate the bits that aren’t working & move your budget into the areas that do work. It’s positive ROI (return on investment) marketing & that’s the only marketing a small business should be doing (unless you’ve got millions to spend on brand & image advertising!)

So if you knew that you could spend say $1000 or $20,000 a month & get back double or triple that amount in new business – what would stop you? And if those amounts scare you, you can start with as much or as little as you like. Prove that you’re getting a positive ROI & then ‘open up the tap’ & each week invest a little more, slowly building your marketing into a profit-generating machine.
