Interest-based advertising

Interest-based advertising lets you reach people based on their interests. There are two types of interest-based advertising:

* Remarketing allows you to show your ads to people who previously visited your website, and tailor your message to their specific interest. Learn how to get started with remarketing. * Interest category marketing (beta) allows you to reach people based on their interests, such as sports enthusiast or travel enthusiast.
Matching ads to people’s interests improves the online experience for users and in turn increases the ROI for advertisers.

Providing consumers with clear visibility and controls into what interests are associated with their online experience is a key tenet of Google’s approach. You can check what Google thinks your interests are by checking your Google Profile & if you prefer, opt out all together.
